Congratulations on yet another breezy gold! Tsegay and Muir were great too.

Is there any way to beat her? You can go out ludicrously fast, slow it does not matter.
Doping creates magic
Ethiopians came with a plan.
AS Mike Tyson once put it, everyone comes with a plan until he is punched in the mouth.
The Ethiopians came with a plan.
Kipyegon is just unbeatable. To the best of my knowledge, she’s lost three or four races in her life to Dibaba and Hassan.
she is of the class of 2012 alongside CONseslus Kipruto and Ajee Wilson. She is still bringing. Tonight, she brought it.
To answer your question, no!
she is unbeatable when she is firing from all 12 cylinders.
I agree with you. She's the GOAT in women's 1500
Absolute class
Absolute beast
Absolute champion
You wanna race fast? It's okay for her...
You wanna race slow? It's still alright with her..
Truly epic
Laura has grit!
I was wondering what happened to Meshesha. I expected her to get a medal, perhaps silver.
Mark of a true GOAT. Take anything you throw at them. The Ethiopian plan targeted at her and her alone, and she still absorbed the shock and beat them.
LOL. Yep. It is perfectly obviously when PEDs are involved. But the usual suspects on this board will still be like "wow! amazing!" As long is their favorite wins.
Agreed - splits of 55 and 68 and just obliterated the field behind them.
Great to see them go after it from the gun after the pedestrian start to the ‘chase.
58 high and 64 mid
For some reason they effed up the 400m split
58.9, 2:03, 3:07, 3:52 Magnificent!!!! The greatest women's championship 1500 of all time!!!
Agreed Big Stick! Now if only the NBC production team could do the race justice. Such a lack of respect in not introducing each competitor on the starting line… do they not understand that such introductions enhance the race experience for race viewers. But wait, in their coverage of the women’s 10,000 incredibly they went to a long commercial only to rejoin the race at the bell! Then again in the women’s 100m final they ignored introducing Kambundji in lane 1, Dina Asher Smith in lane 8 and ignored Aleah Hobbs (USA) in lane seven.
It is long overdue for a new NBC production team whose priority is promoting the athletes and indeed the sport.
You do wonder what Seb Coe makes of this dreadful NBC coverage.
As you may know, through the 1st two rounds, L. Muir split 1st 100m in 16.24 & 15.82. I was expecting similar from her today. L. Muir has so much experience, L. Muir could have even paced her way to 3:07.xx if she liked. Maybe L. Muir would have been a bit closer to silver if she stuck to her tactic from the first two rounds.
It was a team approach. Obviously the plan was for the three Ethiopian ladies to try to race in the front together. H. Meshesha is young. I expect if the pace is just a bit slower next year, H. Meshesha will hang in their. I'd like to see the ladies next year try to pace it out a bit better, 62 flat a lap.
Dina was defending champion. I don’t think anybody else was!
