What was he thinking?
What was he thinking?
He was trying to get us those pics! Good for him for putting himself in harm's way for the benefit of humanity.
No idea what you're talking about since I wasn't watching,
But it sounds bad. Really bad.
Lol
Cameraman was standing in lane 1 during men's steeple final. Did not move, runners had to move out to lane 2/3 to dodge him.
From his reaction, he knew the runners were coming. He just turned away from the runners and photographed them after they went by. Amazing.
World Championships Oregon: What if we take the top runners off the track and put the camera men on
Was it worse than when they messed up the barrier height in Oslo in the womens steeple 4 yrs back?
Hint: The answer is YES
Did they DQ him and remove him?
There was no one to get his butt off the track?
Truly amateurish. Track is a joke.
All Steeplechase runners should be required to wear GoPro's
Reminds me of that idiot security guard at the Masters in 2019 who ran into Tiger Woods and that Chinese cameraman who ran over Usain Bolt at the 2015 Worlds. How these clueless people get jobs is dumbfounding.
No. The computer didn't register a false start so they left him in the race. He then went on to win it all.

If he looked back a split second before they got to him standing still was the right move. It's much easier for the pack to go around him, if he darted off to the side he probably hwould have caused a collision.
All and all pretty lucky, it was at the beginning, the field went around him like a school of fish, it was at the beginning of the race before the real running started. No harm no foul
He should be DQ'd.
Was it kofuzi? He's said he always wanted to run a steeplechase, but getting the shot always comes first.

I'll link the video here too:
Thanks for the link. Wish I could see the seconds leading up to that. Was it a case where he messed up, not realizing they were already coming, so he quickly decided to hold his ground, like he planned it all along?
