My god Gail Devers was an awful analyst. Every few minutes the host would set her up with an obvious comment “well it must be tough coming back after a successful Olympic campaign”. And she would reply “yes, it’s tough.” thank you for that fascinating insight, Gail.
And we wonder why T&F is a disappearing sport. can we find an analyst with a personality, wit and creative commentary?

At least she doesn't feel the need to add a bunch of commentary that we don't want to hear. I am perfectly fine with her just keeping her mouth shut and letting the British guy do it all. She is terrible though!
I'm wondering if its a paid gig, because she sounds like she doesn't want to be there. Zero enthusiasm. At first I thought it was because middle distance and field events were not her thing. But when the sprints started, she sounded just as bored by it all. At least Carol Lewis had enthusiasm in the commentary box.
Generally I like the British coverage, but the addition of Devers and the guy calling the 1500m heat as having 500m left (instead of 100m) was not good.

Track and field is in no way a disappearing sport, are you looking at the number of spectators in the grandstands and international media in attendance?
I agree they could easily upgrade the quality of commentators and analysts. However, Ato Boldon, Sanya Richards-Ross, Leigh Diffey and Paul Swanguard are excellent.

More than once, he called the race wrong and had to correct himself at the finish, usually because he got too excited when the person he wanted to win was winning, and called it too early.
Her pay cheques should have a hold on them as she literally doesn't commentate unless prompted and knows nothing about any event but sprints and hurdles.
I never competed beyond sectional meets and know more about the sport than she does....
