Is there? He just ran 9.79 cruising (and yes I know that sometimes this actually helps speed but it's still hard to imagine that tonight even just committing a little more he couldn't have run 9.74'ish) with a +0.1 wind. At this speed a meter per second of wind is five hundreths of a second benefit so that 9.79 with a max legal wind is sub 9.7 territory. If we think he might he pushed to 9.74 tonight that's sub 9.65. I know that's assuming the most favorable climatic conditions but it does happen and could tomorrow night. I do agree it seems unlikely but the real joker in the deck is the fact the IAAF/WA obviously don't adjust times in the sprints up to 2.0m/s. More and more I think Kerley could run low 9.6's with the right conditions - even though I struggle with his legitimacy.
