I often get so frustrated when I see advice here at LRC to young runners ( and other runners too) and the only advice is " Bump up your mileage..." Of course this has been a very frequent subject here for many years, but I think it can never be too much talked about to guide young runners to become the very best runner they have talent to be.....
The great European champ at 5000m back in the - 60s, Bruce Tulloh, once adviced young runners to first see what they could do on quite low mileage before reaching for the stars. As long as you keep on improving there is absolutely no need to " Bump up your mileage". And if you seem to be stuck and plateauing you first have to analyse if your easy runs and workouts are the most effective or not. 🧙♂️🇸🇪🧙♂️🇸🇪🧙♂️
