Huge mistake by Jacobs. ND could win XC with their recruits and what is left behind. Should have stayed or gone to NAU or Oregon to prepare for the next step in his career.

Jacobs can still flip and go to Oregon… and he should. Let Jerry coach you “collegiately” and step right into your professional training plan.

I wonder if Oregon would even qualify for Nationals next year even with him transferring. They would barely qualify even with Teare still on the team

I would think as a listed senior he has met graduation requirements at Notre Dame. I can't imagine a good kid from Orland Park bypassing a Notre Dame degree. If this is the case, I going to Tennessee for grad school is a not much of a big deal. Let him explore the collegiate track world for another year in the SEC and make an assessment of what makes sense for him.

Tenessee also signed Yaseen Abdalla from Texas (big 12 champ indoor 5k + anchor for DMR). I don't know much else about Tenessee, but are they going to be good next year?

Two low sticks, Thiessen, possibly more transfers, guys will probably improve immediately under Carlson. Most are still skeptical but they have everything they need now to show some serious improvement this year. They’ve been a team on the edge of breaking through for a while now

Looking like the Vols will run the show at the South Region next fall. Jacobs, Thiessen, and Abdalla will give them a great cushion for the 4 and 5, whoever they may be.
