Awesome to see for all of them, but especially Drew :D
The past 8 months or so seem like he's doing the best he's done since 2019. 5k champion back in December, 7:42 in February, and 3:54 with a 55 close in July show that he's back on track after a rocky few years. Hopefully next year he can really build on his fitness and get back to challenging for teams.

LOL- this is suspiciously LateRunnerPhil-ish right here.
5K champion in December? Is that even a thing?
If you filter out all his bad performances, a 7:42 and 3:54.8 is still underachieving.
The good thing- as always- is that hE’s sTiLL sO yOuNg.

Drew is a miler. We’ve seen plenty of results like this over the years. His 1,500m and mile results have been comparatively better than his 5,000s. He’s been trying to train for the 5 the last few years and has been consistently injured and underperforming. When he trained/trains like a miler, he’s been healthy and running well. The men’s 5,000 is the U.S. is insane right now. Drew will never make a team at 5,000. If he gets in 3:34 or better shape, he can make the 1500 team. FFS he ran 1:48 in high school.

His indoor 2 mile USA championship may be his best performance to date.

Not at all. His 8:25 two mile converts to 7:47 in the 3,000m, which he has run faster than multiple times.
C'mon guys... Why do so many people Always have to come on here and drag guys down after a solid run. We all know Drew has been struggling and needed to gain some traction. This race was exactly that, a step in the right direction. If he'd have run 3:51, people would say that's suspicious... I for one am glad to see him knocking out a solid race (Leading the entire final 800m). Definitely something to build from. Keep up the good work Tinmen.
