Former Japan Prime Minister SHOT Is Unresponsive

We live in a sick age.

Not looking good from reports I’m reading and watching on NHK.

This must be a terrible false rumor, because in Japan only shotguns and air rifles are allowed by the public.

You were a good man.

First reports trickling in that he has not survived.

Not very many guns in Japan.

The perpetrator used a shotgun. So why is it a false rumor?

Instead of taking out one man with a shot gun or air rifle, with an AR-15 the shooter could have taken out multiple people and this would have been a mass shooting.

Just an observation.

He didn't want to kill multiple people. He was targeting one specific person.

He was short with a shotgun that looked homemade.

Actually looks like it may be a home-made musket of sorts.

After all this talk of banning AR-15s in favor of muskets, maybe he wanted to prove that even with the strictest gun laws in the world, and security guards close by, people can and will build muskets and murder people with them.

It's a lesson for us all.

The suspect is a 41 year-old former member of the Self Defense Forces.

Looks like no previous criminal record.

And he (suspect) was close enough to be quickly captured. He must have been all-in on this mission as his homemade firearm didn't let him do it anonomously from distance where he could try to escape.

Abe is a total hero. He resigned not once, but twice with Ulcerative Colitis and is the longest serving prime minister of japan since WW2. an absolute inspiration.

Long tenure is a common feature of one-party rule.

Bet this was the shooter's motive.

So was Hinckley, yet he shot multiple people.

Terrible, terrible, terrible. Human beings are capable of such evil.

It WAS a shotgun, moron. A homemade shotgun.

Not very many, yet one of the few found its way into the hands of an idiot to do what a gun's sole raison d'etre was created to accomplish. That should tell everyone something, but sadly it won't. But hey, at least we can pray, right...
