Here’s what we got so far.
Daniel Simmons transfers from Idaho to American Fork.
Ty Garrett is transferring out of Valor Christian.
On Ty Garrett, his insta posts lately seem to confirm he's leaving Valor. He posted that he isn't even associated with the program anymore and is still being blamed for the coach. We'll probably never know the details, but clearly something big happened at Valor. The CO running community wishes him good luck wherever he is going, but it sounds like leaving is the best thing for everyone involved. It's a shame that so many other Valor runners were affected by the shakeup. Again, I don't know the details, but anyone near the finish line after the 3200 at state knows that Ty was not happy with his coach. If that sentiment was team-wide, this is probably not the worst outcome. If it was just one or two runners unhappy with Coach Coplen? Well, I just wish Coach, Ty, and the remaining Valor runners good luck. Running isn't supposed to have this kind of drama.
I’d like to take a moment to respond as I’ve seen the topic of Ty Garrett transferring come up on a couple of threads and it seems like there are rumors that it is all Ty’s fault that the Valor coach resigned. I can’t directly speak for Ty as I don’t completely know everything about his situation, the whole story he’s gone through during his time at Valor, or his future plans. But I can speak to the toxic culture I personally witnessed at Valor over the past several years that was fostered by the former coach. The coach seemed to target a few athletes each season and treated them so poorly that I would call it bullying and emotional abuse. I’ve heard that he took the route of resigning his positions at Valor over discussing and attempting to resolve the issues brought forth by several athletes and families, but I really don’t know why that was his choice. Regardless, I don’t think his resignation should be blamed on any of the athletes.
Personally, I’m happy that he is out as Valor’s coach. His behavior has no place at any level of athletics and has caused a lot of damage that won’t just disappear with his resignation. The team is so fractured at this point that I’m afraid it will take a new coach, and likely complete turnover of the current roster, for there to be true healing. I hope that a new coach is able to come in and fix the team culture and make running fun for ALL of the kids again. I also hope that Ty decides to stay, but I would definitely understand if he chooses to transfer.
Makes me wonder if anyone else will transfer out of Valor Christian.

I haven’t heard of anyone else transferring from Valor other than Ty. My guess is that due to the transfer rules in Colorado where you either need a bonafide move within the state (for work or similar) or a hardship waiver that meets very specific strict criteria, no one is likely to transfer within the state. Maybe someone will consider a move out of state similar to Ty, but I don’t know of anyone considering that. From what I have heard I think there is enough evidence in what happened with the Valor coach that someone could try to get a hardship waiver, but the problem is the student has to transfer first, then apply for the waiver through CHSAA without knowing the outcome of it being approved or not. That seems pretty risky to take a chance not to run varsity, especially for any kid that might be going into their senior year and only has one year of eligibility left.

Elliott Heiderich from WI transferred to Skyridge UT. Will likely be in their top 7.
if he does not score for them this year he will score for them next year

Heiderich - 2:09/4:48 - jr

The 3 seniors and Nelson broke 16 minutes last year.
Notice that 5 of those guys listed above are coming back for 2023.

Ok so this girl has moved so many times already, now even after she made her college choice, she is transferring to another school her senior year.
Also, Tony Provenzano from Hopkins High in MN is transferring to Carmel Indiana
Tanner Jelliff - transferred from a NJ school to Wando SC. They will win state if they get their 4&5 back
Tatum David - from IMG academy to Monteverde
Jais Ward - from IMG academy to Ben Lippen.
Tatum David transferred out of this school.
Not sure if Haynes is still there.
