Seriously? Why all the Sha'Carri hate?

How do you know its mental and not also phyiscal?

And is she really one of the best?

Two main reasons. Some people don't like her because she does and says too many rediculous things.

Other people don't like her because they want to see her maximizing her athletic potential and she hasn't been doing that.

But the dislike will mostly go away if she A) starts acting normal and B) starts running 10.6 .

Sha’Carri is a clown. She’s her own circus and she’s the lead clown. And nobody likes clowns.

She’s a distraction from the actual sport. She does everything she can to get people to look at her, which drowns out the accomplishments of other great athletes around her.

Look at the NYC meet. All the headlines were about her, and her stupid outfit, but she got 2nd. The winner Alecia Hobbs was just a footnote in the story. At USAs, the big story was the clown bombing, rather than the success of the three who qualified for worlds, one of whom is Hobbs, another of whom was a bit of a surprise winner in Melissa Jefferson.

10.72 just last year at age 21, only five women have run faster in the history of the sport.

Still has already run 10.85 this year. If you run 10.85 before National Championships and fail to make it out of the first round despite being healthy, it's safe to say that your problem is mental, not physical.

I love her! It's crazy because people forget how talented she is at still a young age in track & field. However, I hope she does well in the Diamond League meets this summer.

This "distraction" was instrumental in us seeing the first sub-10.6 since Flo-Jo.

That rivarly was close to a boiling point when Elaine ripped that time.

Even if Sha'carri underperformed, the thought of her being a contender sure produced a sweet result for another athlete.

I like her and I don't like her. I would like to see her perform well but I am really put off by her antics as many are. If she could temper herself I would be a bigger fan.

In the meantime I would rather see performers that have a great personality and just go about their business without all of the sideshows and distractions - Sydney Mc, Abby, Athing, Dalilah Muhammad, SAFP, Shericka, etc

Remember we're talking about LRC posters here. She is not liked here because she is an authentic, outspoken black woman. Strike one is that she's black. Strike two is that she is an outspoken woman. LRC posters prefer skinny, blonde, 'nice' white women who know their place.

It's not hate. It's people pointing out how she needs to grow up,get serious and stop wasting her talent.

But she's too self absorbed to understand this obvious point. More interested in attention seeking stupidity than concentrating on her training and racing.

What makes her a piece of crap? What has she done to hurt anyone? Has she committed crimes? Is she mean?

The intense dislike/anger towards her is just cultural bias.

Narcissistic

Very unprofessional

Very disrespectful

Wastes her talent

Sets a bad example

Makes excuse after excuse after excuse but also likes to say “I’m not here to make excuses”

There are plenty of black runners that are well liked. Her skin color has nothing to do with it.

Nope, stop playing the race card, move past always being the victim.

she is not liked because she talks out of her butt, she is not authentic, she is a clown. The color of her skin has nothing to do with the crap coming out of her mouth.

This is not altogether true for everyone. I believe that a lot of it is, though.

I am a white male and I am fine with women of any race being outspoken. The fact that Sha’Carri is black and is a woman has nothing to do with my low level of tolerance for her. She always has a “the world is against me” chip on her shoulder. The “woe is me” act is wearing thin for me. She also always wants to make everything about herself and is not gracious toward her opponents.

Personally I would like to see her do well. I wouldn’t even care if she remains outspoken a bit. I just wish she would change her attitude. The fact that she will sometimes talk about racism and racial injustices doesn’t bother me in the least. All of that is very real and does deserve to be talked about. It’s all the other crap that she does that bothers me. Her messages about racial inequalities would be received better if she toned down all of the rhetoric.

I was an absolute fan. I was thinking what a perfect person help promote track and field to the younger generation.Then she opened her mouth.
