For some reason, even though womxn tennis is not as fast or as good as men tennis, it does not seem to matter. It’s just as entertaining. I don’t know why.
I doubt that an all womxn track meet would be as entertaining. The clock does not lie. You cannot lie to yourself enough when you see 1:57 for 800m
If I had to choose between watching a men only track meet vs a women only track meet, I would go to the women only track meet. Why would I as a straight man want to go to a dude's only meet?
100% agree! All through high school and college I remember thinking "I absolutely love track, but I sure wish our practices and competitions were dudes, dudes, and only dudes." Sometimes the girls even wanted to hang out in my hotel room in the evenings when we traveled for meets. Uhh, okay, sure, I really want to catch cooties right before my biggest race of the season.
I would also choose the womens track meet, however only cuz the competition is much more entertaining. The past handful of years, American women have been far more impressive than the mens.

Do you watch other sports? Would you rather watch the women's world cup or the men's, the NBA or WNBA, baseball or softball, men's or women's softball, PGA or LPGA?
Don’t know how it is now, but years ago in college there was a men’s IC4A championship meet and a women’s ECAC track meet held at separate locations on the same weekend. It was basically the East coast championships.
Nothing worse than having to sit through the women's 10k. Takes literally an hour sometimes.
IMO that's a better argument for eliminating the 10000 from track competition altogether than it is for separating meets. Replace it with a flat 3000 for both men and women.

U weren’t asking me, but my opinion, I’d prefer to watch:
daft question! men and women are separate on track and field. Just like tennis,, where there will be a man's match followed by a women's match. Or cycling, where is is a men's track race followed by a woman's.
Separating the running events from the throws would make more sense.
I could actually see this benefiting the throws to even rival or pass the popularity of running events.
Separate out the throws and then add in a half dozen of the best strongman and Highland games type events. It could be quite popular. Sport is evolving and there are fun and popular new ways of competing.
On the running side, you could add in a couple Spartan-lite type events with obstacles. Again, people’s interest in sport is evolving.
No, I’m not actually suggesting the changes. I’m too much of a traditionalist.
The passion the ladies bring to the sport is what I like about having them out there. They stay. What needs to go is the steeplechase or stick it in front or behind everything else, being forced to watch it sucks. Same with the 10,000 we have to admit ....yawm....until the bell lap.
