They were talking about her running the flat 400M and going for the WR, that is a tough one...47.60, does anyone think she can run that fast. She can probably go in the 48 high range but 47.60 is way out there and most likely not a "clean" record
No, Sydney can't run 47.60.
And that world record is most definitely not clean.
I think Athing Mu can eventually run 48.5-45.8 range....
What’s up with all the doping allegations here? McLaughlin is the definition of a prodigy. She made her first Olympic team at the age of 16, broke the 300 HSR by a second and buried it somewhere where it will never be broken, in a race she won. Anything worse than what she is currently running would be considered a disappoint, and if I had to bet on someone in 2016 to run the times that McLaughlin is currently running, it would be her.

People just posting nonsense for the attention.
She’s been incredibly fast for several years now. If she’d come out of nowhere, there would be reason to suspect. But this level is where she’s ‘expected’ to be, given the slew of records she set in her youth.
I understand that Anna Cockrell is working on a new (for her) stride pattern. Looks like it serves her well early but she cannot hold it late into her races yet. An investment towards future seasons. I’ll be watching
She needs to switch careers or something. I’ve never seen someone so joyless on a celebratory occasion.
You're right. Sydney McLaughlin isn't happy being a professional runner.
She has said that what she really wants to do is work full time in the church that her husband is the pastor of.
I think that for financial reasons she is trying to stretch out her running career a little longer, probably until the 2024 Olympics. But she might not make it that long.

Marie-Jose Perec’s 96 Olympic gold time of 48.25 is the fastest legit 400 in my opinion and is doable, but not 47.60 which about even with flojo’s records for the dirtiest of all time....
