It was 2.20 Euro per liter. Roughly 8.32 Euro per gallon. So $8.75/US per gallon. My rental was a VW Polo. Over a week I spent like 120 Euro on gas. I had a great time, hard to blame Biden for the gas prices but I'm sure it was his fault.
Does SIXT rent EVs? I did see more charging stations in Europe than I see here (Indiana). I saw a few Teslas. I saw a few other cars that were probably EVs but were some oddball European brands I don't recognize.
Nah, it was a week in a rural area with few public transit options. Car was the way to go. Used the Metro exclusively in Paris if it makes you feel better.

How da ladies in France?
Skinny, better dressed, less makeup, more natural looking, most smoke.
It would be a great thing for all of us, and for a quicker transition away from fossil fuels, for gas/diesel prices to stay high, painfully high. It's time to start transitioning now and for real.

Ok, so how much oil does France produce each year?
Any?
Where do they get it if they don't? Maybe they have to import it?
When gasoline is $2 a gallon in the US is is always significantly higher in non-oil-producing countries than in the US, which happens to be one of the largest producers of oil in the world when the President allows it to be.
The thing is with gas prices in Europe vs. USA is that in the USA the way cities are made essentially forces you to drive. It is entirely car-dependent and it is designed that way. In europe in rural places you also will need a car but as soon as you live anywhere decently sized a car is purely a luxury. Thus high gas prices are not as much of an issue here than in the US.

i live in europe and have lived in la. i managed with public transport in la and noone in europe considers a car a luxury except maybe paris and london etc.
The U.S. is still producing 25% less oil than it was before the pandemic. Biden did a couple things right away when he took office that have made it take longer to increase our production again. So yes, Biden is partially to blame for high gas prices. He halted oil and gas leases the first month he took office as well as stopped the new section of the Key Stone pipeline which would have also allowed for more supply. Don't be an idiot thinking there's nothing he can do to effect oil prices/supply.
