What hyped food dissapointed you most?

Foie gras

Gotta be the lobster roll for me.

Quail's eyeballs.

Taco Bell Mexican Pizza

Sushi, by far.

Chilled monkey brains

Salmon- dry and tasteless.

Bacon. Also any time a bunch of 20-year old white dudes get super macho about something ‘insanely spicy’ it’s usually overhyped and not that good.

Steak.

Bubble tea.

Dry salmon means it was prepared wrong.

I agree about bubble tea... I've never liked it. Also starbucks.

Ranch dressing. Not a food, I know, but to hear Americans talk about it ... hyped almost as much as they hype peanut butter.

Foie gras, ethical issues notwithstanding, was disappointing. As is caviar which, although not bland or disgusting, doesn't merit the hype.

avocado toast

Nitrogen-infused coffee. It wasn't just "not good." It tasted so bad I tried it in another coffee shop just to make sure I didn't get a bad cup at the first store.

2. Why do white people get shi t on for not liking spicy food. Im white and I love super spicy shi t, but people do overhype the spiciness level. There have only been a few times where its actually been a challenge. One time at a nepalese restaurant with their Chicken Chili on the hottest level, and another time with some wings and a flavor called "no refund". No other asian places with spice on full blast have been able to come close

In and out burgers and fries. Seriously. They taste like any other fast food garbage.
