Weather seems to have cleared up for the finals, it was looking sloppy for a while there.
I'm excited to see how the 800m plays out since it figures to be a close race. Florida is in a good place to get both the men and women team title- does anyone know when the last time a program did that was?
Texas off to a good start with win in 4 X 100.
Raining there now
Are you watching on ESPN2 or ESPNU right now?
Neither. ESPN.
Krissy Gear doing all the work albeit slowly
Krissy Gear leading the 1500m right now.. seems surprising to me. Since she has some decent closing speed
Degenero could’ve won but her positioning was terrible with a lap to go.
Degenero's position with one lap to go is terrible.
Vissa over Degenero, Aragon holds on for 3rd
holds on? nah, she came on. It was Gear's spot
100%. Great response by Sinta to hold off the pass on the curve.
Vissa noting it was a great win for the program and that she was motivated from her 2nd place indoors as well as Garcia Romo's runner-up finish yesterday.
I feel bad for the discus throwers in this weather. It was clear for the first flight, now it's gonna be tough.
She had a DMR leg in her Indoors when she got 2nd to DeGenero
I feel like had DeGenero not have to burst to catch up with Vissa at the beginning of the last lap, and trying to pass Vissa on the curve, she might have had another gear down the homestretch.
Ole Miss had an excellent shot for a sweep in the 1500 this year. It's a shame that Garcia Romo didn't run as smart and tough as Vissa. He had it right there.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
