That MSNBC and CNN and ABC News and others are not carrying the Hunter Biden story and did not cover it leads credence that they are not legitimate news sources. The Hunter Biden scandal deserves to be covered.
On MSNBC the top 11 stories are about Jan. 6. The next 8 stories are negative ones about DeSantis, Trump and other republicans. Again, MSNBC, ABC News, CNN, NBC News are not credible news organizations. They are merely liberal propagandists. Just a shame. Walter Cronkite used to be the best.
Cheney is speaking the truth right now. Shame on Lyndsay Graham and McConnell- true American cowards.
Even the best of intentions can carry unintended consequences. January 6th has been given far more attention than it deserved. The results of the election were never in jeopardy. A handful of armed individuals were never a legitimate threat to overturn an election. I view Trump's role in the January 6th protest the same way I view the endorsement of the BLM riots by the left. Despicable, but not really criminal. Both feeding off fear rather than statistical fact. The consequence of Cheney's endorsement of the January 6th committee, however, is that it emboldened the policies of the left and weakened the right. We have traded an individual with good policies but an abrasive demeanor for a grandfatherly figure with flawed policies based in populism.
Fox News not even pretending to be real news. Whether you think the criminal referrals on Trump et al. are warranted or not, this is a matter of enormous national and historic importance. Yet Fox is going with Hunter Biden (of course), some Stacy Abrams stuff and some War on Christmas stuff (talk about dredging up old material). Embarrassing. Fox needs to clean out some of the old hacks, much the way CNN is at least trying to do.
The Hunter Biden story IS important.

What a waste of taxpayer money and time this is..while the left with their few days left with a majority Congress , try to ram a $1.7 T Omnibus Spending bill right thru at the end..the same type of spending that has us right here we are Inflation wise, while trying to blame Putin. It's insane that this is a focus anymore of anybody....almost 15-18 months on this? Come on now, but then again, there ARE more important things to do,(According to "The Feeble One") than fixing the Border or at least visit it. Only now, with Title 42 expiring, do any Democrats other than Henry Cuellar raise their voices..we live in an upside down Country now, where friends of The U.S. MIlitary are jailed, while 100's that walked over border with him are getting transported into a neighborhood near you. And THIS is a frigging partisan play necessity?
1. Obstruction of an Official Proceeding 2. Conspiracy to defraud the United States The committee also said it would make a criminal referral for Donald Trump alone for: 3. Conspiracy to make false statements tied to his efforts to submit fake certificates to the National Archives as genuine 4. Insurrection, or providing “aid and comfort” to those who disrupted the certification.
This is the biggest witch hunt in the history of this once great nation. The committee broke attorney-client privilege in obtaining the "evidence" of crimes that were not committed. This is totally unwarranted and illegal. There is no way that this would survive any actual evidence assessment in a real courtroom. Trump will be suing these criminals in civil proceedings and win.

I don't know what you mean by "best intentions" or who you are referring to, but I think it's debatable whether there was or wasn't a "legitimate" threat to overturn the election. There was a riot in the US Capitol, the Vice President of the US, in the process of performing a Constitutionally mandated election procedure, had to stop and had to flee the scene is legitimate fear for his life (from people who are now in prison).
In any case, it's the attempt and incitement that gets prosecuted not the degree of success. It's not a defense to a criminal attempt charge to point out that you weren't successful in what you intended to do.

I tend to agree that Trump was behaving in much the same way as "the left" in endorsing their respective riots and criminal behavior, but the left's behavior doesn't excuse Trump or negate an investigation into his behavior. Moreover, he was the President and he is an identifiable person inciting an identifiable riot, whereas trying to charge "the left" for a broad range of riots and looting isn't really possible. You would have to find specific left political leaders or media commentators and tie them to inciting specific BLM riots. I don't know how a state investigative agency would be able to do that. The nexus just isn't there as far as I know.

Trump did not tell them to break into the capitol. He was hoping they would be yelling so loud that it would be heard on the TV broadcast by the congress. In reality, he was touched that his base loved him enough to fight for him, but he did not ask them to breech the building.

That's good that they nailed Eastman. He furthered all this more than Trump did. Absolute clear fraud on the US. That guy needs federal prison time on par with the Capitol rioters.
They probably should have referred Meadows and Giuliani as well.

Yeah, mobs of people bust into the the US Capitol during a joint session of Congress all the time. Why was this even news?
How does that compare to about $2 billion in insured damages, multiple deaths, etc. during the summer of love? Minneapolis alone had damage to over 1,500 properties, arson of nearly 200 properties including businesses, schools, non-profit organizations, government buildings and private residences. Half of all riot-related losses were not covered by insurance, leaving building owners to pay out of pocket for repairs / losses.
