Did anyone see the article on the front page? Former GB sprinter Anyika Onuora (Bronze 2016 4 x 400) is making the rounds of the media in the UK as she's published a memoir about all of the awful racist and sexist things that have happened to her.
Racism is horrible . I'm sure she experienced it and am sorry she did, but exagerrating it is also horrible and I just am not buying some of the stuff she is saying. How in the world does any editor actually publish this?
"The front of (our) house became a no-go zone, due to the front window being shattered most nights by bricks."
I'm supposed to believe that on "most nights" in the UK her windows were broken bhy racists about 20 years ago? Sorry. I'm not buying it. Maybe the window was broken once but nightly? No chance.
I saw that on the HP and was like, "No way." So I started googling around. At least the Telegraph writer seems to be a little skeptical as he at least asked her about it.
How many times were their windows broken? “In the beginning it was once a month and then every couple of weeks. The majority of the neighbours were OK and some were super-nice. But we were driven out when our car was firebombed.”
So there car was set on fire? In the UK? And they only moved 2 miles away?
