Why all of the Matt Boling threads? I mean he’s good, but the obsession is a bit creepy. It’s sort of like the obsession with Katelyn Tuohy and, to a lesser extent, Abby Steiner.
To answer your question, I would say the long jump. He has virtually no chance of 100 & 200 WRs.

It's almost like people are interested in the progress of young up-and-coming phenoms.

He graduated high school at the age of 19. Matt B. is not young for a sprinter. This is a year to make U.S. to team. If he doesn't, I don't want to hear it.

You guys really have to stop reading so much into someone being 17,18,19 when they graduate. Boling won a NCAA title that's much more than most can say.
Boling is a point scorer for an NCAA team, that is where with his versatility he shines. He has no one event where he is in with the elite and I don't expect that to change. No 9.7. no 19.6, no 28 feet stuff.
Expect to see him make the finals of the NCAA 100/200 put place no better than 4th and maybe make the finals in in our USA champs at 200m, see nothing better than a 6th there.
After his Georgia days if he's smart he'll zero in on the 200m, that will be his future in track. Do doubt he ever really does all that much other than nail his role as "White Lightning".
Carl Lewis's longest long jump after 2 or 3 years in college was his high school jump mark. He was nothing special despite working with Tom Tellez. His 100 meters was pretty luckluster as well. After working with Tellez for a while he blossomed in the sprints as well as the long jump. Imagine Boling with a Tom Tellez. Get his 100 meters down some and his long jump would easily be 28 feet-plus. His 200 meters would improve as well.

Don't compare Boling to Carl Lewis, Lewis simply on a whole other level. First off a two time NCAA long jump champ, an NCAA 100m champ. That will never be Boling.
Lewis was Da Man in the sport for about a decade, Boling is kind of an oddity being a white cat.
Boling is an NCAA champ and he is still in college. Who knows how many more he will get.
