...despite two pacers who kept getting in his way and in the way of each other. They almost prevented the sub-4. Speeding up, slowing down right in front of Rheinhardt. Incredible. Glad he made it by 0.67. Good kick at the end. Junior Brayden Seymour got a 4:11.1 PR in second.

I occasionally text tom and he's told me Rheinhardt has been in monster sub-4 shape a couple of times but it just hasn't happened before tonight as the races hadn't materialized due to covid, travel restrictions, etc. I mean tonight the 2nd lap was 63 which is kind of what you'd expect when you don't have a pro field with legit pro pacers.
Probably would have run a few seconds faster in a pro field, but it's always good to leave a little on the bone for next year.
