Just to be clear to all the people who are wondering in another thread why Mu is at the West Regional if she HAS Covid, that's not true. She HAD Covid about 2 weeks ago.
As long as I'm alive and my name is Michael Rouse, I'm going to compile a full dossier on you comprised of all your wrong journalistic information and i AM going to send it to every existing international track and field venue and lobby for your blockage from every event anywhere.

Masters club runner here. I got covid four weeks ago and could feel it for three weeks, so just in the first week of getting my base back. It'll take another month to get back to where I was. Have teammates who have had long-lasting effects, like one or two years.
I know there are (many) deniers here but those are some anecdotal facts.

You do know that Covid can have lasting affects ?
You completely missed the point. Many people on here were confused and thought that Mu still was infectious and that she shouldn't be around other athletes this weekend at the West regionals because she would infect them too.
Mu is NO longer infectious, because she had Covid IN THE PAST, got over it, and that is why she is with the Texas A&M team right now as opposed to quarantining.
Got it a month ago and can't imagine running today.
I'm still coughing green stuff out and napping during the day after ten hours of sleep.
I got it a month ago. First day I had symptoms I ran 8 miles and mowed 3 different yards/ 4 acres total. Was a little tired but really nothing bad. Was 100% after 2-3 days. I have not gotten a booster.
Personally I think it's good that she's actually taking the proper time to recover rather than rushing back. No one fully understands the long term effects on the body. I think she is wise to wait and give her body and mind more time to recover fully. We don't understand the long term effects of all of this plus I think sometimes we underestimate just how stressful racing is on the body, even if it's for less than two minutes.

I think Mu will be fine. Her training partner who had Covid at the same time and missed SEC meet just qualified for Nationals last night with a season best time. But Mu needs a higher level performance than that to compete at the world class level. If she competes at less than her best and loses then we have the usual - IS SHE DONE???? garbage like after the Millrose Mile. Smart to back off and train and get ready for the meets that really matter. Also want to say I LOVE the picture she used with her Instagram post - standing there next to that American Record time - power move by her to respond to this nonsense!
I had covid, I'm past the point where it's contagious but I cannot compete or run at this point, a month later.
The effects of covid are different for all, some come right back, for others it can take longer.
My lungs have yet to recover, maybe the same for her?
You're really dumb. My post had absolutely nothing do to with long lasting post covid problems. Many people on this message board in other threads thought that Mu was at the West Regionals with Covid and infecting other people. I pointed out that she was NOT infecting anyone at West Regionals, because she was no longer testing positive.
Then you tried to switch the topic to something that had nothing to do with whether or not Mu was currently infecting other people. And then you pretended that I was talking about post covid problems, when I clearly wasn't. Your reading comprehension is very poor.
