Controversial coach Beth Alford-Sullivan FIRED

Controversial coach Beth Alford-Sullivan has been fired from the University of Tennessee, effective immediately. This ends her reign of 8 years at the helm of both of the Track and Field, and Cross Country programs. Does anybody have any news on what happened for the Athletic Department to make this change before NCAA First Round and NCAAs?

She couldn't coach a rat to eat cheese. That's why they made her a director.

A great person and coach, hopefully she will find somewhere that's a better fit.

So either XY or "it is time" is wrong. Which is it?

Typically you only hear from negative people so I'm sure that opinion may dominate the conversation.

Half the people on this thread would find an issue with Bill Hayward as a coach. Good luck finding another coach to fill this hole. They’ll never find someone to stroke your oversized egos enough to satisfy.

She has coached a ton of great athletes over her career at Stanford, Penn State, and Tennessee. She took a Tennessee program that was in the dumps back to near the top of the NCAA and SEC.

Well seeing how Bill Hayward died 75 years ago, I can see that as being an issue.

Saves the UT AD from having to pay out any bonus due from performances at NCAAs.
