So? People do all sorts of crazy stuff "in practice." I like Richardson, but she got owned every time she competed against a top class international field last year. Running 10.3 in practice is meaningless

She just tweeted "Y'all looking for me?".
Hope she surfaces soon.
Agreed.
I can assure you that we are not using our starting pistol for our beginning of the season Time Trials, and I'd be hard pressed to believe that Gatlin, SR and their crew were, too,
💩
Why should anyone believe what a twice-convicted doper claims about anything - or care?
Okay, but how high was she?
About 5' 2"
Get a life guys, Gatlin is trolling.
We used to troll like this in high school when other teams asked our workouts or what we expected to run in the race. Distance guys are nervous and overthink, so it was a good way to get in their heads.
Sha'Carri probably did run 10.3 in some way at practice, but we know it doesn't matter.
I ran like 10.5-10.6 in high school with a teammate using that acceleration bungie cable thing. Partner pulls ahead by running hard stretching the band then all the tension pulls you forward. Hardest part is that you need to sprint fast enough so you don't get pulled to fast and fall on your face.
Both of us could probably only run 11.3-11.5 otherwise.
Listening to anything JG has to say is like listening to Rudy anf the Mike Pillow guy tell us that Trump won.
Is Justin Gatlin a millionaire?
it’s not meaningless. it’s also not even remotely believable.
Marijuana can make one paranoid.
Probably, If not he should be he was great as a competitor, now he had had great success developing athletes to compete at the highest levels Diamond League, Worlds. Olympics. When you are at the top or near the top in your field, which he has you should make Great Money
Yeah but like he said in the interview, a top track athlete is only worth as much as they have left at the end of their career. They don't have any sort of pension.
Gatlin has been spewing nonsense for over 20 years now. If he just kept his mouth shut the entire time, he would probably would have been way more likeable.
In "practice"? Maybe he means in theory? Like she can imagine running 10.3 in her head.
Who cares what she doesn in practice. Until she proves fitness in a race she is a slow doper with the intelligence of a slow 3rd grader.
Whether the 10.3 is truthy or not
Lolol
Gatlin is also one of the few humans capable of starting the stop watch at the start line, and then being right at the finish line, to stop the clock
I’ve found a good rule of thumb is to add .4-.5 to any “practice” times you hear about. But even if she’s back to 10.7-10.8 shape, she’s stupid to the point where she’ll probably find a way to not medal.

.5-.6? Personally I’ve never been that far off. I’m usually .1-.3
The “official” adjustment is .24 but varies by event due to how far you are from the start. Studies have shown in the 400 it’s .16, the 100 it’s .24 and the 200 it’s .26.
That’s not generally accepted. Proper conversion is to round up to the nearest tenth and add .24, and that also assumes the hand timer is timing properly (and there’s more that goes into it than just starting on the smoke). For example, a 10.31 would be a 10.64 converted. However, a 10.38 would also be a 10.64 converted.
I’ve found less skilled timers can be off by as much as half a second, and in rare instances, even closer to a full second (where they are really off both on the start and the finish).
