Video set to start at relevant point
What do you all think? Obviously a hand time 10.3 isn't the same as FAT.
I haven't watched the video enough to see if she's actually practicing now.

Yeah, we all ran 3:59s in practice, too.
Do it where it counts.
Besides hand timed (which shouldn't account for half a second) I wondered if it was with a flying start, where the timer stood...etc....
Justing Gatlin and Sha'Carri Richardson are a duo forged from the pits of hell. Perhaprs the two most unlikable American sprinters of all time.
She must be killing the burrito game right now. Running 10.3 in practice, but not racing actual competition.
We're talking about practice! We're talking about practice... We ain't talking about the meet! We're talking about practice, man! When you come to the track and you see me run... You see me run, don't you? Practice?

If hand timed and with a flying start then maybe possible. What is the faster 100m section of a woman's 200 ever recorded?
Birds of a feather...
OH! Maybe she's using that whole fans blowing down the track set up that Gatlin used that time.
hic rhodus. hic salta.
After hand timing hundreds of athletes for Time Trials at the beginning of every Indoor and Outdoor seasons over the years, I typically see a trend of at least .5-.6 between the hand times we record and what the athletes actually run in their next FAT timed 100.
Granted I'm talking about HS athletes compared to a world class sprinter but all the previous relevant points apply. Who was timing it and where were they positioned? At the star with not a great view of the finish or at the finish with not a great view of the start? If at the finish, were they starting when they heard the person 100m down track say "go" or blow the whistle or whatever? All of those things play into the delay/discrepancy between the hand time and her actual time.
Given all that, 10.3 isn't out of the question as far as what it read on their watch, but I 100% do not believe she a) actually ran that or b) is even in sub 10.8 shape.
Plus, just as an aside, how often do sprinters hold full on 100m Time Trials in practice? Is that more commonplace than I think or am aware of? It seems to against what I know in terms of sprint training, but I am curious as to whether I'm outdated in that regard or not. I'd love to get some input from the Sprinters on the boards.
Tell me something I care about. Next please
Sooooooooooo, why ain't she competing? She's folded more under pressure than any sprinter in recent time not named Asafa Powell. So, after a disastrous end to what looked like a promising 2021 season, she skips the first 3 meets she's signed up for and there are reports she's running 10.3s? What kind of pressure you think she will be under once (if) she finally makes her debut? Sha'Carri's act is not old, but it's already so tiring.
You made my day man lol
Fake news!!! She needs to compete and stop running her mouth.
True dat.
.5-.6? Personally I’ve never been that far off. I’m usually .1-.3
The “official” adjustment is .24 but varies by event due to how far you are from the start. Studies have shown in the 400 it’s .16, the 100 it’s .24 and the 200 it’s .26.
So either ShaCarri is back on the real PEDs or she's continuing the "all talk, no action" persona which has been on display since the suspension.
