Anyone know anything about the Knoxville Marathon? I am looking for a fairly fast course in the SE for a spring marathon. Thanks!!

Knoxville sucks. Stay away from that hole. Go to Nashville instead.
Not Knoxville, keep looking. Too hilly.
On the plus side it got positive marks for race organization, a good sign for a first year race.
I've done the 1/2 in Nashville twice now, and they've creatively engineered away the majority of the hills. I think it used to be a brutal course, but is now easy. I can only speak to the 1/2, which was pretty easy. The race is usually in late April, but it seems to rain every year. Temps usually in the upper 50's at start, but can be humid (last year it was 93% when I left the hotel room 30 minutes prior to start). It would still be better than Knoxville, which is really hilly.
Good race organization and amenities, but it's a hilly course with lots of turns. More of a tourist course than a racer's course.
Ran there last year at the inaugural... the hills didn't bother me (though there are more than a few) but the number of turns (over 70 if I recall the count) leaves no room for rhythm. And from mile 13-22 is boring as hell! That's a lot of boring...
I did run a 3:01 but was in shape to go sub 2:50 on a straighter course. The organization wasn't bad for a first time event.
andrew of flatter Delaware
but it ain't fast
Shamrock in Va. Beach in March, is flat and can be fast if it ain't too windy
Ditto that for Myrtle Beach in Feb.
