Said in post race interview he hard a tough time of it at Eldoret Marathon last month dropping out at 40K. Heard about the Nairobi marathon on the radio and entered on whim
Brimin Misoi - Guessing with a name like that, he is not a Kalenjin. However, with the 6 million shillings reward, ($60,000 +) he has now joined the Kenyan upper echelons financially. Most Kenyans would not accumulate that amount over a lifetome.
My bad, 6 million shillings is approx $52,000 U.S. at today's exchange rate, and not what I previously wrote ($60,000). Apologies for that error. $52,000 for a Kenyan runner is still a great number.
Top 10 all ran under 2:14:00 in Nairobi, which is good.
Cannot find the winner's profile on W.A. Can someone find this guy? Brimin Misoi. Kenyans often have flexible appellations, so he may come under a different one.
El K.- curious to know what tribe does the name Misoi belong to? Is he Kalenjin, Kikuyu, Kisii or other? Have not heard that name before in the Rift Valley.
The lady who ran 2:24 can surely post sub 2:20:00 in low alts.
Agnes Barsosio, women's winner. She is 39 years old, according to W.A. website and a pure road runner. Has a 2:20:57 from 2017, and also 1:08 from the same year. Nice to see her make money at, presumably, the tail end of her career. $52,000 smackers.

Winner of Nairobi Standard Chartered Marathon in 2017 and 2019. Also won Athens in 2018. I wonder why it appears he was DQd from the Eldoret Marathon last year?
You make good points because I asked Kenyan runners today about that short course and they were not aware that. However I’m not disputing what he says because he has a lot of inside knowledge.

Interesting insight, however I would like to point out the post regarding the short course was from El Kenyano not El Keniano, and I wanted to check the validity of the comment.
