It is good to be fast and famous.
300k was not enough for Karsten to travel all the way to Eugene.

Just like the Italian guy not racing after the Olympics. Crazy these guys aren't going for the money when they can! Does make you wonder though
That's only $30,000 USD.
Not enough of an appearance fee for a legend.
Keep in mind that the outdoor track season hasn't started in Europe. He's on a different schedule to the US guys so doesn't want to race top rivals while he's undercooked. And $30k? Assuming he's in the top tax bracket, he'll need to pay 39% of that, so he'd be taking home around $18k. Great for most athletes, probably not for the GOAT of his event
That’s ~$30k usd.
To travel 15 hours from oslo in the buildup to world championships? He made the correct decision.

Yeah it's incredibly hard to be rich unless you're bagging 30k or more on a single day a few times. That drop in the bucket stuff is for members of a designed system. A system deisiged to keep most people poor and struggling. Not that there's anything wrong with that. To each their own. But for a guy who potentially makes 7 figures in a year, 30k is indeed pocket change.
Very honest answer he said he is not ready and does not want to travel 15-16 hours to get slaughtered. How many top Athletes would say that?

How do you determine that an answer is honest? What he said could be a big lie and you fell for it.
He did not mention Money or being dissatisfied with the Money, just he is not ready yet.

Of course that was not enough to interrupt a critical training period and at this stage of the season... more like pre-season

So what? How do you know when someone is being honest? How the hell do you know?

Karsten WARHOL should enjoy his 15 minutes of fame.
300k = @ $33k.
How disgraceful and shameful that such little money is offered to the greatest White-Asian sprinter of all time.

DL Eugene exists only because of Nike promoting it. World elites don't want to battle gale force winds and chase records in the early season
Is Tom Jordan broke, down and out, and living at the Eugene Mission? The United States is the richest country in the written and oral history of the planet Earth since the 7,000 year old Harlaa civilization of Ethiopia and he offers Karsten Watholm a pitiful amount of only $USD 30,000? Explain this, Tom!
I can't take this anymore! I don't want to hear how interesting the change with the hole in it is!
Did you even use a currency converter? It's only $32,500. I would guessthat he would easily pull $50,000 and more likely $100,000...
