Pretty early in the year, isn't it?
What a cutie!
I recall doing a long run with my college teammate who was simultaneously the world leader in the steeple and 10000 in an April long ago. It was a trippy feeling thinking "I'm running with the fastest guy on the planet right now".
Of course, at the end of the season, he was maybe like 18th in the world in the steeple, and 40th in the 10k.
No disrespect to Ferlic, I hope he has a great season and ends the year way up high on the list, but it's early so that's why there's no buzz.
Very nice.
Why does have three downvotes?
Because, Lets Run
If he had run a 9:00 on January 1st, he could have been the world leader.
He ran 818 at the same meet a year ago, that's why
And let’s not forget, he supports the idea that the new super shoes shave notable time off your performances. So this 8:24 is really like what, 8:32 five+ years ago?
The Olympic Rings tattoo is a little weird.
Still a dumb take one week after the prior thread.
for what?
Sunbathing?
Rono ran 8.05 back in 1977 on nothing but hard work and beer. Plus late nights.
If can't get inside 8:20 first up then you are a jogger.
how many of last year's top 50 guys have raced a steeple this year?
Jager could have tripped over every barrier five years ago and still beaten 8:23
Hell, if I went to the Olympics I'd get a giant tattoo of the rings across my asscheeks.
Lol is that because a lot of people would see it in that spot?
bc it's 3rd in the world this year in the steeplechase, that's pretty self explanatory,
Teare is fastest in the world this year in the 5000 but no one really cares, because its pretty early in the season.
It’s a good start to the season for him. But it’s early. The world leader is an Indian guy who ran 8:16 last month. not say these are not both great times, but let’s give it some time. doesn’t look like most of the top guys have run a steeple yet this year.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
