Obviously neither was justified, but the difference is airplane guy went to the police. Chris Rock specifically said he didn't want to press charges. He was also slapped and not punched. Both are assaults but different levels. The bottom line here, right or wrong, is you don't mess with The Champ. He will still destroy 99.999% of living humans in one 45% power punch.

100% agree. Mike Tyson was harassed and the moment the guy touched Tyson that counts as assault. Tyson was in the right and will win in court. Punching someone who you deem annoying is never the right thing. That said, you can’t have much sympathy for a guy who gets punched when he annoyed one of the few people not in prison who has bitten off another man’s ear….
well idk the whole story and Mike being Mike not thinking the airline staff wanted any of it, he had to deal with it...and the guy was asking for it...not sure where Mike could retreat to on a plane.
