Yeah, let’s completely refuse to even name the guy who’s actually won Boston and has recently improved his PR. I really need to find another site with decent running news.
In the men's race, there are more than a dozen who could win. Good weather & a fast early pace could shorten that list. It's been a while since a fast winning time. Mutai ran 2:03-flat in 2011. 2010 was won in 2:05-high. Nothing faster than 2:07-high over the last decade. I'm not saying any of this as a knock btw. I love watching good races at Boston. We might just get both a good race & a fast winning time this year.
completely agree with your favourites. Toni Reavis thinks Peres has the wood over Joyciline listing the 4 clashes. In the World Half, Joyciline fell early [clipped heels by Yeshaneh?] and could have finished closer.
They didn't include my friend who is running and is Italian. Maybe they got it in for them too? What are Yuki's odds of finishing on the podium? Top 10? Slim & none I'm afraid. His win at Boston rivals Meb's and Desi's for my all time favorites, but c'mon, Gault does a great job with these race previews. And when you find that other site with decent running news, please do come back & report.

If your friend has previously won Boston has broken 2:10 a bunch of times, has a sub 2:08 pr and a world championship medal they definitely should have at least mentioned him. Plus if you saw how CJ Albertsons ran it last year and considering that Yuki might be the only one willing to go with him. Boston isn’t a typical flat rabbited time trial and his chances aren’t negligible.

I am looking forward to the Women's preview. Next few hours, maybe?
