I’ve always assumed that the coaching change explanation was a smoke screen but I’m actually most interested in the status of Filip and Henrik. Have we heard anything about their training/status lately? Henrik going full coach mode now and Filip just focusing on outdoors (if I recall he moved to Oslo awhile ago and only trained with bros during training camps).
Henrik is doing a 10000m mid April, before trying to qualify for worlds 5000m. In decent shape reportedly. Filip had covid about a month ago, and has bought a new house outside Oslo. Not sure what his short term plans are, but I guess he still aims to be a medal contender at worlds
Pretty simple, but what are the most common rumors going around about Gjert currently not coaching? What is up with Filipe and Henrik?
These rumours are more or less seen as BS by the people in the know in Norway. Henrik has said in interviews that they would like Gjert to step away from his role as coach, and be fully committed to his role as dad and granddad. Pretty understandable.

Forgot to add: this coupled with Gjert still being a coach for the rest of the team (Svela and Gilje Nordås) shows that this most likely is the boring truth of the story.
"Filip Ingebrigtsen had a strong reaction after being vaccinated last year, and he was diagnosed with coronary heart disease on his way home from Spain in February."
