Wow, Isaiah Harris looked phenomenal!
Harris of usa w/ perfect move prior to bell to take the lead and an easy win in 1:47 flat for final heat. Looked the best of anyone imo
Charlie Hunter absolute sh1te in that one. Was never in the race. Few Athletes look like a deer in headlights at this meet so far.
yeah go Harris -- always representing Lewiston ME well
Anyone been able to find the dedicated livestream for men's TJ? The World Athletics Youtube listed one but it's gone now.
Final field, barring DQ:
heat/place/athlete/country/time
1(1) Kibet - Kenya - 1:48.3
1(2) Hoppel - USA - 1:48.7
2(1) Arop - Canada - 1:48.1
2(2) Kramer -Germany - 1:48.2
3(1) Garcia -Espana - 1:48.3
3(2) Crestan - Bel - 1:48.5
4(1) Harris - USA - 1:47.0
4(2) Arriba -Espana - 1:47.9
Kipruto (1:45.3i) knocked out is maybe the biggest shocker
Krop and Gay go down in the first lap. Krop has already reattached himself to the back of the pack.
Krop and Gay have both moved up through the pack into the top 5. Girma is leading and ratcheting up the pace. Maggard is moving through the pack now and try to hang on
Jamaine Colema of TME attempted to hold onto the pace and is absolutely suffering now
Girma, Krop, and a Spaniard have pulled away now. Maggard is in 4th. 200m to go
Oops, that guy I thought was a Spaniard was Zouhair Talbi of Morocco. My bad. Maggard makes it through!
Thank you very much for your live comments!
Anyone have a stream that works in the United States?
Second heat is underway and without incident
Barega and Mechaal are in the back. Beamish is sitting towards the back. Sam Parsons is leading a pack of three that have broken away lol
That gap of the leading trio has been closed
Mechaal and Barega creeping up through the field. El Sandaali (I butchered that) has moved up into 4th from the back of the pack.
1600m to go, Sam Parsons still leading the field. The pace is not hot. Barega and Mechaal are moving up. Beamish is still towards the back
