Last week I raced 10 miles, finished in 1:20:21 (8:02/mile pace). I was pretty damn gassed and gave it my all.
I have free entry into the Twin Cities Marathon which is October 2, about 6.5 months away. I'm thinking about giving it a shot. I've only been running for a year, age 37.
Based on my recent 10-mile time, with 6.5 months of good training, would I be able to extend that pace out to 26.2 miles to finish sub-3:30?
I'll do a half marathon sometime early May right before the marathon plan starts so I should have a better idea of what my potential is.
