Wow, blew Sahlman away. US got another 800 star in the making...

Yeah, he led from the start. Colin was near the back early and worked his way up but Flatt was too far ahead and never slowed.
Although the Sahlmans were running 6:30 in the morning CA time and ran yesterday FWIW.

Now we just need to see him race Sumner.
Let the excuses begin. Sahlman is a mile/2mile type, not an 800/mile type, they exist by the way.

I wonder how much of that is Brosnan's program. They don't seem to emphasize the 800 at all.
I think thats #3 all time indoors 1:48.86. Aaron "best speed amongst them all" Sahlman 5th in 1:53.29
There is a real chance for Colin to get 1:49’s this year imo. He could train more for it and maybe a Sub-1:50 could be here.

First ever sub-1:50/4:00/8:30 guy?
Hobbs Kessler did it last year and Drew Hunter would also qualify based on his 3k conversion.

Who does emphasize the 800 for 1/2 guys and especially for the fastest HS XC runner in the country?

Wrong on both accounts.

When did Kessler and Hunter go sub-8:30 in high school?
Per the finish line video, Aaron clearly got third. Why is he listed as finishing 5th?

This is how I knew he was a white guy. This phrase would never be uttered about a black high school 800 meter runner.

I genuinely don’t know what you are even alleging. You’re saying Americans don’t think black people can run good 800’s? Or that we just hate our black athletes so we don’t talk about them?
I do understand there is a racial aspect to how we project the future of certain runners, for example that any fast white 400m runner will be an 800 guy, but of all the things I’ve thought of that you could have possibly meant by that, I’ve never heard any of them.
Tell me, what do you mean?
