At least they're racing. Summer is the real deal at 800m, so that's especially interesting. Sahlman running a 1:51-1:52, not so much.

When did I say it was about anybody else? The fact is these two are not even close to being the best 2 hs'ers. Saying such is bad journalism and proves once again this board constantly elevates the best white athletes as being the best in our sport.

What a ridiculous thread.The 2 Sahlmans haven't run faster than 1.53 so not even sure how they both qualified for top honors at NB. They are not even in the top 50 on milesplit rankings

And no mention of Cade Flatt or James Donahue who are both sub 1:50 and running at NB

Even when Warholm and Benjamin went under the previous record, 70% of the discussion was on how they'd do in a flat event. Face it, hurdling is an event for those who can't hack it in theb flats and have some good technique.

What's great about running? I train so one day I can have a chance at running sub 9 for 3k and because if I didn't run I would never leave my house.

Rojo has a point . And I do not think Sahlman would break 1:50.00,(could clearly be wrong, just my thoughts) I think he is a miler/2 Miler, not an 800/miler. Sumner would beat him at 800 comfortably, I believe. Just because he ran 3:58.x once doesn't make him a 1:48 guy. Whe Kessler ran 3:57.x he would not have run 1:48.x, but he did run 8:39 two mile outdoors with a 26.2 last 200.Clearly could have run faster.

I wish I cared about indoor track or high school track at the national level to that degree. Truly, I'm glad that I don't.

Does anyone else from CA do indoor? I haven't been following along.
