On an unrelated note he is one of the most overrated runners out there.

He is pretty good and certainly as good as any US born runner who ever lived.
his 1500/3k times are great on paper, but i think the initial poster was mostly referring to his inability to win races that matter. he finished behind hocker at the olympics for example despite having a much much faster PR coming in.
but either way, this is troubling news. hope he fully recovers, but even a performance loss of 1% could ruin the career of a pro athlete.
Wouldn't jump to conclusions, as the anti-vaxxers already have.

So while he recently got a booster, it seems he's had breathing issues at race pace since January. There is a more nuanced argument to be made against people suffering from long COVID like McSweyn was getting a booster shot or waiting until their symptoms subside. Seems pretty clear from this article that long COVID, not the booster shot, is the culprit.
So it WAS the booster shot that caused his problem. Look at the all the hysterical denials here from vaxtards before the truth leaks out.

Kobbs, please do enlighten us to your medical knowledge and where you did your studies?
I know this will get downvoted to oblivion, but I genuinely had horrible side effects from my second dose. I was unable to run for the better part of 6 months. Did every cardio/pulmonary test in the book and nothing came back weird. Sure they worked without them for a lot of people but the vaccines had side effects and I think it’s dangerous not to bring them up at all.
