Last year, Hocker was the one that had an unbeatable kick late in races. Now, Beamish has proved multiple times he has an undeniable kick late in races no matter how far back he is. First it was to Hocker and Teare, now he does it to Olli Hoare who’s been on a roll this season. He’s that guy with the kick this year.
Beamish finished 4th a few weeks ago to a pretty mediocore field at New Balance Grand Prix. Not really "undebiable".

A blistering 56.3... Neither guy ran particularly well.
He could be really good if he starts putting himself near the front of races. He is still leaving a lot left at the end (evidenced by the extra 200 at Millrose) and is doing “just enough” to get people at the line. That won’t work with world class competition - but may if he positions himself better before the last 150
I still think in a championship type race with both athletes peaking Hocker has a better kick. I know Beamish ran down Cole and Cooper in that 3k, but that was (all things considered) a pretty meaningless race in the middle of winter.
More importantly, he looks so good doing it. Beamish's stride and form is so pleasing compared to Hocker's. Like a gazelle.
