Agreed. These track club runners believed they deserved special treatment. And when they didn’t get it, they resorted to methodical, deliberate vandalism using feces as the instrumentality.
Is there any other sport where professionals are so unprofessional. I'm not talking about the bathrooms. I'm talking about just turning up and using facilities without reserving it or renting it.
I'm sure pro swimmers are sneaking into high schools using the pool without permission.
It's almost hilarious that most pro groups don't hire facilities and just go around trying to use other people's facilities for free.
no. i think they were protesting the bathroom being locked.
The bathrooms at the concession stand at the high school track where I run from time to time are always locked. That strikes me as standard practice. I've never defecated outside of the bathroom as a consequence. For that matter, since I move my bowels before I go out for a run, I don't recall ever having felt the need to defecate while training.
I run trail and hike a lot. I rarely need to go, but I always carry a couple of doggies bags (and some sheets of TP). The primary purpose of the bag is to protect things from getting wet/damp. Their emergency purpose is to remove any emergency #2s. I carry out all trash and #2 bags in a fanny pack back to the trail head for disposal in a trash bin.
The above is trail etiquette 101. Trail runners who refuse to take out their own #2s, and same as the ones horrified that another runner who leave their droppings behind. I have no sympathy for disgusting runners who don't pick up after themselves.
None of these idiots thought about acquiring a camping toilet. No wonder they can't beat the Kenyans, they can't even figure out how to take a dump.
All they need is a doggie bag and some TP. But their worry seems to be that carrying something like those items with them will cause them to run a few seconds slower.
It would be an easy to find out who did it. Just look for the runners with only one sock. Solved.
Torn off arm sleeves are another "emergency" TP. There are other solutions that predate the invention of TP. Leaving poop out in the open for others to discover has always been a no-no.
You will now embark upon a brief journey through some of the more popular (and fascinating) wiping methods over the centuries. On your journey, take some time to reflect on some of the deeper, unanswered questions in the Butt...
How unadvanced is the US exactly? Why not install toilets which have to be paid for? Like you can find in any European service station. Set the price a little higher to cover their cost or maybe even make a profit.
Its pretty obvious that if you have a sports facility, human beings need bathrooms unless you want this kind of situation to occur.
