He said if he can get the 1500, he'll have close to 30 seconds for the last 109 meters to get the mile. I think the 1500 will be very tough, but he can be 5-10 seconds off that and still get the British mile record. It's a pretty good interview. Very very confident guy.

Although 3:29 converts to a 3:45 mile, it still took the stars to align for him to run a time of that caliber. That 3:29 came while he was at his peak, in a fast, well-paced race in the Olympic final. It doesn't get much more optimal than that. I just don't see him being able to churn out a performance like that in Feb, especially after his 1:46 where Engles was right on his heels the whole time.
No shot he runs 3:47, he just ran 3:52 at Millrose 3 weeks ago and got beat pretty handily. Probably around 3:50

It would be easy to see Kerr go sub 3:48 if not faster at BU. 4 more weeks training and BU is WAY faster than Armory.
I really doubt that his BMI is < 20. He’s 5’8” and over 200 lbs. In an interview with the Edinburgh Gazette, he said he’s been eating 2 ham sandwiches, fries, and a milkshake for lunch every day. He’s been eating haggis 4 nights a week for dinner and has leftovers for his midnight snack. He’s horribly out of shape right now.
1:46 is good for him, he ran 1:45 last outdoor when in 3:31 shape and would likely have run no faster than 1:44 when he ran 3:29. So he’s probably in 3:32-3:33 shape, and thus 3:49-3:50 for the mile. I imagine he will run 3:33-3:34 through 1500 and then close in 16s for the last 109 and run 3:49-3:50 for the mile. BU is also a faster track than the Armory so he’s probably even capable of faster. Should be a good race.

Because we all know that Brooks shoes/spikes are garbage. It's crap brand, sorry, but he won't do it. He also doesn't have the work ethic to get through the inevitable ups and downs of a pro career. He's an ego maniac and will crack when things don't go well.
I'm rather excited to see Charlie Hunter in the mile again. At BU in his current shape he's capable of running 3:55. So that's what I'll put him at: 3:55.50 for Hunter.

The 5'8 Josh Kerr is a surfer; the runner is over 6 feet. Do more than 5 seconds of research next time. I want some of what you're on if you think an overweight British dude can run a 3:52.
