Best Indoor Track In Every State

Alaska - The Dome

Only indoor track I am aware of and definitely the best.

It only counts if it is open to the public. If I can't go pay a few bucks to run on it I don't care.

Utah - Probably the Olympic Oval track. It is something like 450 yds and open to the public. BYU probably has the next best one.

Idaho - I’m not aware of any permanent decent size indoor tracks. That leaves the 200m wooden track they occasionally put up at Idaho State for the Simplot Games and a few more meets. I don’t think it is ever open for public jogging.

I would imagine Ohio has to be the Spire...if that's what it's still called.

MN - not aware of any banked tracks in our beautiful state. St. Thomas probably has the newest indoor facility so I'm guessing that's the best. UofM probably gets better times just by virtue of being D1 though. And it is a pretty nice one. That's where I ran my 3K PR as a d3 scrub FWIW. If anybody can attest to any other tracks please feel free to correct me.

Portland track moved to Iowa. Petit best in WI. Amazing that neither MN nor WI have real indoor tracks even they are some of the coldest states.

Wyoming has the Campbell Country Rec Center..a 200m indoor track.

No, not at all. The Pettit Center is a ~440m indoor oval around the ice rinks. No spikes allowed.

I will always have a soft spot for the UW-Shell and getting Big Mike's Subs after West Relays. But I would think Ripon has the best indoor track now. Certainly the newest. TFA (WI HS Indoor) is held at UW-Whitewater's Kachel Fieldhouse.

Indiana: IU

the texas tech track could arguably be nicer than the a&m one

Bruh. Minnesota has indoor tracks. St Olaf and Carleton both have nice indoor tracks. Gustavus is getting their resurfaced soon. There are several others that I am sure others can name that I cannot think of off of the top of my head.

Washington--Dempsey for anything over 400m, and it's not even close. You might have an argument if The Podium were at sea level.

Indiana--Notre Dame.

I think CU’s 300m indoor track might be better than Air Force’s, not that they host any events on it besides college meets.

No banked or oversized tracks. It is really sad for a Northern state with a population of nearly 6 million. Iowa has 1/2 the population but 2 tracks.

Notre Dame’s oversized track might be better. Too bad South Bend is a dump though.
