I think Alan Webb chasing "THE GHOST OF STEVE SCOTT" easily beats the Flotrack announcing during Fisher's race, but whoever was announcing Fisher's race was clearly channeling the same energy at 14:00 into the video.

Craig Massback and the Aussie announcers could learn a thing or two from Flotrack!
They need to start incorporating more high-pitched shrieking and hyperventilating into their calls. Don't give any splits, just repeat the racer names and their pace over and over and over and over.
The announcer never figured out that Alex Masai was NOT the second pacer. Anybody who follows the sport should have known that that was not Alex Masai and that Alex Masai was not even in the race.

Yes, that became little annoying, and that he never corrected that.

The second guy in the booth said 5 words during the race and then gave 'props' to the announcer for his call.......who sounded like he just shot his load.
Could not stand it. Ugh. A squeaky voice screaming the names of runners over and over with almost nothing else. I kept turning the sound down as he ramped up. Makes it almost unwatchable.

I agree. I Am incredibly confused that people actually enjoyed the commentary. Was even worse when the guy was squealing while I’m yelling at my computer because they didn’t show everyone else finish.
It wouldn't be a track broadcast if I dind't complain about it. What I didn't like about the Fisher video was the camerawork. You'd think after 15 years of internet broadcasting people would have determined the best way to broadcast track. For me, I hate the closeup shots and thought it was bad how they zoomed in on Fisher for the final few laps. I like the panned out shot so you can see if anyone else is nearby - the one they showed for the final turn.
Does anyone know who the announcers were? Was it the same people as well for Friday?

Does flotrack pay them?
I heard Sean and Ryan? at the end of the commentary when he was huffing and puffing.

Well I previously pointed out this mistake in another thread and now I will give you a taste of your own medicine: Anybody who follows the sport should know that Alex Masai WAS in the race, but he obviously was not the Moroccan pacing as he is Kenyan.

another nice bit by the announcers was them very carefully announcing the 13 athletes in heat 1 as the 20 or so athletes in heat 2 lined up on the track to go off first. On the second lap he starts giving who is leading the race and it does not phase him that that runner was not one of the 13 he just listed. Just after 3,000 m they figured it out.
