High school status is increasingly irrelevant. Teenager athletes have never had more resources to thrive on the track. This is a trend that is not going away
Willis beat Mu once also, albeit when Mu was still in high school. In the 800 younger athletes can achieve world class times.

I wouldn't call any of the adult runners beaten by high school kids this year "Pros".

it wasn't that long ago that watching high schoolers even step on the line against pros was unheard of. Now it's more and more regular.
IDK...if I was a pro and a high schooler beat me I might consider another profession.
And you aren't a pro. What is your profession? I am sure that a smart high school kid could do the job. You woukd be silly to give up your paycheck just because somebody at an arbitrary age can do it better than you. Should every 40 year old quit working if a 30 year old outperforms them? Mu won Gokd at 19 last year. Every other 800 runner in the world should quit now.
