I don’t care if you like him or not. He’s clearly not racist, at least not more than the average person (white or black). A lot of his comedian and MMA buddies are black. He didn’t call anyone the N word, he was using the word to repeat a story.
I’m actually more let down that he had to cave for the apology. It did seem like a real apology and not a Tiger Woods type apology for sleeping with dozens of women while married. Either way, he shouldn’t have to explain it. Nobody should when there is no harmful intent. Making the word completely off limits to any group except one only helps to perpetuate racism.
I hope Chapelle steps up and supports Rogan, like Rogan supported Chapelle after the Trans outrage.
The social justice crowd has to find a line, just like the me too movement. It started off with racists and men using their power to influence women. Then it went to people just making unwanted advances and stopped. You don’t know if a move will be wanted or not until you try. If it’s unwanted, you back off.
