What a crybaby
That was pretty funny...seems like they have a friendly rivalry, but that clearly irritated him. Also, interesting to take shots at Tinman and Cheserek. Where is Ches anyways? I remember watching his mile at BU, but that feels like ages ago.
I don't think his reaction was anything crazy, more confused that Hoare said that, and I also don't think Hoare intended it to be a jab. His intention may as well have said 'I got the best of him' instead of 'he got outclassed'
Need a new fake Josh Kerr appearance on the letsrun podcast!

i agree here. kerr had a reasonable response and I also think Hoare just used the wrong words.
i like the crap talking these guys bring to the sport.
I loved Ritz's reaction to Hoare saying Kerr was outclassed. The coffee club boys talk a lot of crap in their pod (rightfully so, they're killing it), so hopefully we see more of this. #goodforthesport
Kerr is a strange guy. Not a fan after choosing the open ncaa indoor mile over his teammates dmr.
Bizarre that he wore dragonflys in the olympic year- the main competitor of his sponsor.
Incredible athlete, but seems like not the best of people.

Agreed on point 1, who gives a f$ck on point 2. People need to get over what spikes someone is wearing.
Anyway, I think both guys like running their mouths so if it creates interest so be it I guess.

Yeah I agree. This banter is #GoodForTheSport.
Olli talked in quite a few interviews that he has a good rivalry with Josh and that Josh has beat him a few times, and Olli beat Josh a few times. Olli was also honest and admitted that Josh smoked him when it mattered most at the Olympic final. So in that sense, I don't think Olli actually meant "outclassed," but that is the word he used live. Josh wouldn't have reacted the way he did if Olli used a softer word.
I'm excited to see Kerr's response on the track when the races matter. I have a funny feeling it's going to be like the Michael Jordan "and that's when I took it personal" meme.
kind of seems like it was partly a coaches decision. I think "joe" is the coach. did their DMR have a shot?
"He's a good runner, and I trusted him fully with that leg," Kerr says of Hansen. But it was still tough to sit out and not run the relay for his team. "We had six good guys with our reserves ready to run. Joe said, 'You've never shown me that you're able to do a double on the same day and be able to run the next day strong,' which I still think is the correct decision. I wanted to be able to challenge the leaders in the mile the next day."
dear god. they lost by 15 seconds. Kerr 100% did the right thing to pass it up for the individual.
First thoughts - Kerr wants to get his finger inside someone and press
Runner rivalries are so weird. Don't trash talk just run.

Sprinters maybe because they look like a tual men. Distance guys are like GC cyclists. Scrawny and you 8mag8ne a lot of open hand slapping and hair pulling instead of a tual fighting.
Josh Kerr is an exciting athlete but races so infrequently. Thinking it might not be until June before we see him race again
