Ugghhh. Mitch McConnell's staff is likely drafting a statement that states SCOTUS nominees cannot be considered during a midterm election year and that it should wait until the new Congress is seated in January 2023.

Rightly so as Michelle Obama isn't qualified to do anything let alone serve on the Court.

It would be an unprecedented, shameless power grab for Biden to appoint a new SC justice at this late stage in his presidential term. The constitution is very clear that Republicans get to make all of the appointments.

It would be great if ole Sleepy Joe and his handlers pick the most qualified person for the opening.

However, this will not happen. It is 100% certain that they will choose someone solely based on their race, gender and sexual orientation. Also, they must be a card carrying member of the socialist/communist party.

If it is a PC nominee, I hope that person is put through the ringer every bit as badly as Judge Kavanaugh was.

Actually, this is a great opportunity for the Republicans to let the nominee breeze on through and give the rest of us a gift of no drama. They figure a liberal justice will replace a liberal justice either way, so it is a neutral proposition. Good for Breyer to see the writing on the wall and spare us the drama of another RBG fiasco.

Actually, Joe Biden already pledged on the campaign trail that he was going to violate EEOC guidelines and put a black woman on the supreme court by making race and gender a requirement for nomination to the court.
