Recent meet results confirm the top five finishers at RunningLane are not the five best high school runners of all time.

You know they peaked for that race. Not these openers?
They are seven weeks past RL and two weeks from running a pro race to attempt sub 4 and sub 8. They are not far off being “peaked”.
Curious what Ritz’s 2 mile and 1 mile pr’s were.
A relatively solo 4:05 in January sure isn’t shabby.
Not shabby at all. Very good! Greatest ever?

Yes, a team having different runners all run 1:53,4:05,4:08,9:00 at the same meet as a tuneup in January is yet another indication of GOAT status.
No debate they are the greatest team ever. This isn’t about NP. This is about RunningLane being a joke. The top five individuals are not the greatest high school runners ever as some have claimed and they aren’t really very close.
Yes they are. Hutchins proved the legitimacy of the course by breaking the 5k track record. These guys will do the same.
I think we can agree Brosnan is not as great as he thinks he is, after these results.
WHY the HELL are these athletes running so hard after their national championships on December 4th??????
Brosnan doesn't care about their long term development. He cares only about his own coaching legacy.
His job is to make them the best HS runners they can be.
Straw man argument. You say something that nobody has actually said and then attack your own stupid statement.
Nobody, but NOBODY, has said that the NP five are the five best HSers of all time.
You clearly have no idea how periodization works if you think they are "peaking" for this or anything else indoors. Look for peaking near the end of outdoor season. Right now they're concentrating on staying healthy.
And your correlating the Sundown meet to RL makes no logical sense. RL is a joke? What does that even mean?

Ya, that Nico kid flamed out right after HS
The only thing he did in his freshman treat is break the US junior record for 5000m
The only thing he had done this indoor season is break the US junior indoor record for 5000m and run a 4:02 mile at altitude.
Actually his Job is to teach whatever BS classes he teaches part time and coach the entire XC and track team. He’s making a dozen or so the best they can be and completely ignoring everyone else. Why not have that meet at his own school so all the kids could compete and include other events? He is the head girls track coach after all.
Yes his job is to have the best team. He is doing that.
Here's a quick list of NP graduates during Brosnan's tenure that were top varsity contributors. Let me know how they're all doing. I'm sure I've missed someone, but still not a trend that indicates success after leaving NP.
Ethan Duffy
Nathaniel Garner
Kyndall Long
Ethan Ronk
Nico Young
Jace Aschbrenner
Thomas McDonnell
Christian Simone
Nicholas Goldstein
Nico is a generational talent and would make any coach look like a genius. Aschbrenner started out solid, but not spectacular, especially for a 8:43 3200 caliber kid. Goldstein just ran a 4:19 mile and the rest have not run or are not running anymore. I'm sure there's excuses for all of them, but only Nico has lived up to billing.
His job is to have the best HS team, not the best college runners.

Some said the top 3 are.
https://www.letsrun.com/forum/flat_read.php?thread=11005853&page=3#post-77I think the OP was saying the top 5 in the race, not the top 5 NP runners.

Exactly. When colleges start paying me, I'll consider acting in their interests. Til then, I'll try to field the best team and ensure the kids have a rewarding HS experience.
Ritz first 1600m race after Foot Locker was 4:11
I’m not sure what 4:05/1:53 on January 22nd tells you anything about RunningLane
