The Vandy 300m track is fast. Lane 4 actually has the same radius as Lane 1 in a standard 400m track. I used to work out there three days a week until Vandy closed the Rec Center.

I am rooting for Culpepper but what has he done to make us think he is in 3:54 shape? He ran just under 4 last year, didn't perform great at Pac-12s, didn't do well in CC (which I wouldn't necessarily expect since he was a 1:48/4:00 guy in HS) and hasn't raced for Ole Miss in track yet.

Nevermind! Didn't see his 2:20. That's a decent time for him and probably equivalent of 3:56-7 in my view.

Three of his teammates who had never run sub 4, went 3:57,3:58 and 3:59
One of these teammates had a 4:13 PB before this race

The 1200m spot is a toss up between Franklin, Cruz, Young and Smulders.
There is a very strong B team here.

All 3 sub-4 guys are transfers in their first races at Ole Miss. The thing they are doing right is giving full-ride scholarships to transfer students.

Honestly wouldnt be surprised if part of it is due to wesfly, its bringing the team a decent amount of attention
When was the last time 4 college runners broke four minutes in a college meet? I know this is a great track for great performance but I still think the youth of the sport is at an all time high.
