Interesting that Peloton is in a little bit of a bind with too many bikes being made and not enough sales. This happened to a fitness company 30 years ago. Nordictrack was a company built on producing the simple XC ski simulator. The company began with them selling them through phone orders and eventually Nordictrack kiosks opened up in malls around the country. Next thing you knew they were opening stores and selling all sorts of products that ended up with design flaws. Not sure when it went bankrupt but obviously the name is still out there selling treadmills but remember the original Nordictrack was just that a XC simulator. I wonder how many of your parents and grandparents still have them around?
I still remember the day I sold $10,000 worth of equipment in the middle of a mall in RVA.
