He should run Boston. We all want him to. He wasn't included in the press release for Boston, obviously. Can they change that? They have almost 3 months.
Love the guy but another "flat" course"?!
Come on, Eliud.: Boston and, or NYC M next!
Tokyo can (may have to) wait.
It is clear that if he can not get into Tokyo then he will run Boston.
Does Boston have the money to bring him in?

What fee does Kipchoge require? Seems like having him in the race is always going to generate a great ROI. He’s the only person anybody outside of running nerds cares about, well him now and Molly. Sounds like his 2022 plan is Tokyo and Eugene and 2023 will be Boston and NY, 2024 will be Paris and then retirement.
Makes no sense for Kipchoge to run in Japan again. He just ran in Sapporo, no need to go back there so soon. Makes more sense to run Boston!
Hopefully He can Pull some of the Japanese under 2:05 or probably asking too much to pull The Japanese (At least one) to the Non African Record of 2:03.36 recently set by Belgium's Bashir Abdi and if the Japanese run 2:03 then Kipchoge will likely run 201 or faster because no one is beating Kipchoge anytime soon meaning the next 3 years

And yes I know he is 37 (Some say older) Won Worlds 5000 over El G And Bekele in 2003 at age 18
I'm worried that the race doesn't happen because of Covid.
They just cancelled another marathon in Japan.

Japan has an 80% vaccination rate. I don't get it. If people want to run the marathon, let them. If they think it's too risky, they can stay at home. If you are worried about foreigners, require a negative test.

Do you think Nike is going to have him run in Eugene rather than a fall major?
The Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon is looking for a big sponsor to pay the extra pork to get Kipchoge in this year's race.
If they are able to lure the star it will elevate this race to new heights and start a serious running boom in Ohio and take people's minds off all the miserable news of late.
Expect Great Things!!!

Has he indicated he will do any of this besides Tokyo?
What boring end-of-career plans. Kipchoge could be using his last couple years to push some more envelopes, instead he seems content to run a few 2:05 to 2:07's in a tour of slow courses.
Eliud, NOBODY whose opinion counts cares if you run Boston or NY, or at a WC. Chase some more records.
Which record? 50k. Eliud will take that down easy. There's a chance he could be the first to crack 2:30.
A little late to this party but a huge miss for Boston with no London this spring. Tokyo is up in the air & they couldn't entice Kipchoge enough not to commit to a race that's maybe happening? Now the Boston fields are incredible but you give Kipchoge the bag even if it means leaving half a dozen guys off the start list. Still time to make this happen. A (mostly) prime Kipchoge against the best in the world in Boston would be incredible. Let's see where he stacks up against those guys & against past Boston champs. Would love to see him run Boston & NYC. Two good course records to go after. I feel like there's a chance he does the World Champs because of the proximity to his biggest sponsor.
Imagine 3 US marathons -- Boston/Eugene/NYC. It could still happen.
I wonder which day they will announce Tokyo is cancelled and whether it will be after they announce their elite list?
He missed the deadline to enter. Maybe in 2023.

Runners at that Level they will let run, even if he told the Race Director a few hours before the race.
