How bad are these ESPN announcers? Aaron Donald just tried to punch/choke a guy who didn't have his helmet on and crickets

The incident is minor at best. Those guys are jawing at each other the whole game and letting off steam. It's almost like inadvertent contact as a non call for a passing play. The OP would make a good prosecutor with that statement.

I would hope the reason they're silent about it is a policy not to draw attention to fighting. Hockey stopped showing fights a few years ago. They cut the feed if a fight breaks out. The idea was to not encourage children to be idiots like their sports heroes.

I agree that fighting should be ejection and a suspension for some number of games.

But the NFL still doesn't even have a comprehensive drug testing program, so I wouldn't hold your breath.

Meanwhile, you have a choice of what you support by watching, commenting on, etc. You're currently supporting doping by watching the NFL. You're somebody who I think is sincere in their stance against doping, so I hope you can see how that stance is contrary to your support of the NFL (and MLB for that matter).

He was flagged on the play. He didn’t punch or choke anyone (not on the field anyway lol).

Honestly it’s crazy how easy these guys helmets come off. It’s ridiculous when all the nfl does is b!tch about safety and head injuries when you have half their players helmets just slipping on and off lol. It should rarely happen yet it happens multiple times every game.

1) I don’t care about my announcers discussing antics after the whistle has blown or advocating for ejections.

2) The other guy was trying to rip off Donald’s helmet. What do you expect him to do?
