Out of curiosity, how many of the 5 sub 4's are in their 5th or 6th year of college due to Covid and red-shirts? Back in my day it was typically 4 and done, and not long before me it was 4 and done and you could only compete in 3 of those years.

Top 3 are born in 98, so should be in their 5th year right now. Miller and Houser started college in 2019 so should be juniors but could also be considered redshirt freshmen with COVID. Trippas is a 5th year.
Miller is a junior, born in 2000. Big breakthrough for him as he personal best for 1500 was 3:43 back in Australia in 2021.

I always thought Lumb was crazy for his diet of eating 5 oranges before every race, but clearly it is working for him. I prefer chia seeds myself

My interpretation was that he meant the track itself. 309 meters and extremely fast, so the times are "fake". Could be wrong though.

'98 spring babies would be 6th years. '98 fall babies 5th years.

Let's also remember that Robbie was too soft to ever run a step in Princeton kit. It was 5 years of 12 oz. curls for that dubya clone.
K.Lumb. Canada. Born in 1998 he’s a little bit older (24 years old/in 2022), than your average college athlete but not taking anything away from him - he has excellent personal bests including 745 for 3K indoors. Strong enough to log a 2817 10,000 m outdoors.
